The Salto Natale Circus uses Vector Ultra Violet to enchant audiences in Switzerland

Salto Natale is a world famous circus in Zurich, Switzerland. It was founded in 2002 by Gregory and Rolf Knie, co-owners of the Swiss National Circus.

The Knie family is the most famous circus family in Switzerland, making over 200 years of circus history. The family is even considered one of the oldest and most renowned circus dynasties in the whole world.

When Gregory and Rolf Knie founded Salto Natale they wanted to reach new standards of creativity and turn the circus into a more modern experience.

The circus is an annual show, opening its doors to audiences for two and a half months every winter.

Lighting Designer Jacques Rouveyrollis and his assistant Jessica Duclos were faced with the challenge of creating a lighting set which would both emphasize the talented performers and mesmerize the audiences.

For this, the circus was in need of a sophisticated lighting console.

After careful consideration Rouveyrollis, along with Programmer and Operator Diego Diaz Criado, selected Compulite's Vector Ultra Violet to control 21 mac vipers, 16 JB-Lighting Sparx10, 12 JB-Lighting Sparx7, 10 JB-Lighting p7 and 1 láser tarm 7.

They added two Compulite ePort-41s to convert the Ethernet to DMX-512 and vice versa and the lighting set was finally complete.

The Salto Natale Circus has been using Compulite products for years, as former Programmer and Operator for the circus Sebastia Coll used Sabre and Vector Blue to control the lighting set in the past.

The winter circus has been running since November 15th, 2017 and it will be closing on January 3rd, 2018, so if you happen to be in Switzerland don't miss it!

Special thanks to Diego Diaz Criado for sharing.
