Franco Parenti Theatre celebrates 50 years with Vector Ultra Violet
On the 5th-7th of May 2022, the open-air swimming pool known as Bagni Misteriosi in Italy recently hosted a spectacular theatrical show called "Verso il Futuro."
Produced by "Studio Festi", The show was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Franco Parenti Theatre of Milan. Performers from all over Italy came to take part in the event, which included musical performances, acrobatics, and much more. The audience was treated to an unforgettable experience that left them wanting more.
A trio of local leaders presented the event onstage: Milan's mayor Giuseppe Sala, the show director Monica Maimone, and theater director Andrée Ruth Shammah.
With performers like wall climbers, flying men, fire dancers, splashing water, video mapping covering two buildings, and a giant water wall crossing the entire pool, the performance was an eloquent metaphor for the consequences of climate change.
In addition to the lighting equipment, the audio, and video, Lighting Designer Paolo Maimone entrusted the installation to the rental company "Sound Service" by Angelo Pelliccioli, as well as "Virtual Lighting" to manage and program the lighting scenes.
A Compulite Vector Ultra Violet was controlling over 50 motorized fixtures between DTS Evo, Clay Paky Scenius Unico, and Sharpy Wash, distributed all around the place and also positioned near the pool, protected with Airdomes.
The flying performers hanging from a steel cable were followed by three Robert Juliat Followspots.
Rain or shine, the show went on as planned and received a very positive response from the audience.
